We will be honoring our NY District Governor, Carla Ingram, at our annual Governor's Dinner on Sautrday April 11th at King's Party House, 4031 NY-5, Canandaigua.  Sectetaries and Presidents should arrive at 5:00 to meet witht the Governor.  Cash bar will begin at 5:30

This event needs additional volunteers to accomphish it safely. Please signup today so that I can notify the New York State DOT of our effort and schedule collection of the bagged material. The event collects debris from a stretch of highway on Rt 21 North; We meetat the Loy's house - 2562 State Route 21 North.  Pizza and soft drinks provided prior to collection at 5:15 on Wednesday, April 22 (Earth Day).

Join the Kiwanis & Rotary Clubs of Canandaigua for a morning of food and fellowship at this community-wide event!

The 2026 Canandaigua National Day of Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post 256 (454 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424).  This event is part of the nationwide observance of the "National Day of Prayer," which Congress has designated as a day on which "the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals."  36 U.S. Code § 119.  

We are delighted to announce the keynote speaker for this year's event will be Todd Bernhardt, Executive Director of Family Promise of Ontario County.  Todd first became involved with Family Promise in 2017 as a volunteer, which sparked a strong passion for wanting to serve in a career helping families that fall on hard times.  Now, as Executive Director, Todd has assisted Family Promise in establishing Ontario County's first family homeless shelter.  

Come celebrate this historic achievement for our community, as we gather to share a meal with friends and neighbors and reflect with gratitude on all of the blessings of the preceding year.

Tickets for the event, which includes breakfast, are $10 per person.  Tickets can be purchased in advance online at the link below or can be paid the morning of the event with cash, or check made payable to Kiwanis Club of Canandaigua.

Lakeshore Rochester Interclub at  La Bella Vita. Webster NY.

We will be completing a service project to write cards of encouragement to miltary service members. 

There will be no Teams meeting available.

National Night out will be at Kershaw Park, Tuesday, August 4th. Kiwanis will be serving cotton candy and popcorn!

Bring the family for a night of fun activities and get to know the first responders and public servants who serve the residents of the City.
A Touch-A-Truck event will feature Canandaigua DPW, PD, FD, EMS, OC Sheriff, NYS Troopers, FLCC Public Safety, US Marines and Air Force.
Mercy Flight Central fly-over at 5:30 p.m.
Sands Family YMCA Fun Zone will feature inflatable carnival games and a gaga pit! Canandaigua Sailboard, Kiwanis, Wood Library, OC 4-H, and Paints and Rec will be on-site with FREE activities for the kids!
Wildlife Rockstars will be on site from 3 to 5 p.m. with their cool critters!
Back-the-Blue is giving away cotton candy and popcorn and sponsoring some super cool raffles including boys and girl's bikes and local business baskets!
Bring some cash for ice cream from Baby G's and axe throwing with Hawks Nest.
Project Lean Nation, Dainty Donuts, 546 Chicken and Waffles and Sodie-Licious will also be attending!

Senior bingo is a group game where participants listen for called numbers or cues and mark matching spots on specialized cards to win small prizes.  Helpers of all ages are welcome to attend.

The semiannual highway clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM. This event will last about 1-1/2 hours. We will meet at the Loy residence at 2562 State Route 21 North in Canandaigua for coffee and donuts prior to touring the roadside. For safety and expediency, a minimum of ten Kiwanisns and/or adult friends or family are needed.

This event was established by past president Doug Stone in 2006 and has consistently been accomplished semiannually since. I have contacted the NYS DOT to mow prior to October 3rd. Please signup on ClubRunner or email me at lloy@frontiernet.net.
